Prayer is defined as A reverent petition made to God, An act of communion with God: such as in devotion, confession, praise, or thanksgiving. That is what the dictionary.com says. MY definition of prayer is communicating with God to give him thanks, praise, or ask him for needs in your life, or to just chat about things in your life. There are two structures that i was taught when i was little.

A.C.T.S- Adoration- First you praise him for the good things in your life. This is your time to basically worship him.
Confession- You confess anything u need to confess to him
Thanksgiving- You thank him for things on your life
S- i think this one is suplement or supplicate.. i cant remember.. and i dont know what either means lol

Another word thing like this (Karyn? name? do you know?words that represent something ) is P.A.R.T.S of prayer
Praise
Adoration
R- i think this is rejoice i cant remember
Thanksgiving
