Hot and Cold

Ok heres a question, why is it when its really sunny people complain cuz of the heat, but yet they complain if its too cold (raining) can they not just be happy with what is presented to them? Cant they be happy with what they have? Its like material things as well, its not "the kid who dies with the most toys wins" it should be "the kid who gives his life to Christ wins" And why set your minds on what you are going to get or what you are wanting?

Colossians 3:1-2 says: "If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." (kjv)

I love what the message says :

"So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ--that's where the action is. See things from his perspective."

Basically if you say you are a christian and you gave your life to Christ then you have to see things like he sees it. Dont set your minds on things that will only be gone in no time.

Matthew 6: 19-24 says: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

I am sorry this is such a short blog, i am on a tight schedule im going to Douglas soon for an orientation thing. wee.....

2nd Corinthians 4:18 says: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

So fix your eyes on God, not on earth because everything on earth will die but the word of the Lord stands firm forever!!

1st Peter 1:24-25 says: For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever. And this is the word that was preached to you."

Blessings!

Revelations 21: 1-4 ~"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

OK, creepy weird, but I just wrote a blog about things being meaningless (I've been reading Ecclesiastes) and now I read yours, with much the same message. Creepy weird....
